LEDs vs. Conventional Lights

As the market is getting flooded with LED bulbs that are general purpose, the prices are also getting relatively high. However, if they are used for long-term savings, used for specific purposes, you can consider them as more compelling. LED bulbs, at this point are considered as hybrid lighting cars. Although many opt for cheap LED light bulbs in terms of operating, they are costlier when compared to their counterparts that are less-efficient. If you are interested to know more about the different types of LEDs go through this page and get enlightened about the same:

MR16 lamps

Although MR16 LED has plenty of advantages when compared to other lamps that are reflectorised like standard incandescent reflectors, parabolic reflector etc., they have smaller size, beam control and better colour properties.

Multiple Colours

They are available in three colours - warm white, pure white and sun white of 2800K, 5000K and 6500K. Temperature of < 85°C is generated by this lamp, much lower when compared to traditional halogen lights which have a temperature of above 130°C.A 30°beam angle is offered by a traditional MR16halogen light and hence it illuminates more area.

Beam Control

When compared to incandescent lamps of 120-volts, tungsten filaments of low voltage are much smaller. Smaller the filament size, the better is the optical control of the reflector. The filament coils are commonly aligned within the lamp by means of an optical system, while PAR lamps are mechanically aligned. This provides a relatively more precise optical control than PAR lamps. Therefore Mr16 Led bulbs have confined beams, the intensity of light sharply drops at the beam edge. The light has greater flexibility, as they are designed to be 7 degrees small or 60 degrees wide.

Minimal energy savings

If you go from CFL to LEDs, you can enjoy minimal energy savings and this means that these bulbs are relatively more efficient, if you have to measure in terms of lumens per watt. Over the past couple of years, CFLs have come down a bit in terms of price, while LEDs take the top place in downward cost curve. This means that LEDs more efficient than other contemporary lighting technologies. The best part about LEDs is that in terms of quality, they are very good and provide enough light for plethora of needs.

There are a number of online stores from where you can get quality of products in affordable prices. But make sure to make a buy only from the reliable and renowned ones to get the best products.
